Purpose and vision

What is this blog for?

Blogs are a place to record musings — in this case, our professional musings.  Often these may consist of interesting links we recently went to, with commentary on what we thought when we read it. These little thoughts don’t tend to be enough to merit an R&D meeting to share, but are valuable for others in Development to read.

I hope we read each others’ postings and post thoughtful comments from time to time. This will be a help to the company and aid the professional development of the participants as well.

This is an experiment, a proof of concept.  I expect that if we can demonstrate that this is something genuinely useful and worthwhile (right now I think it is, I hope it is, but I’ve never blogged before) — then it will be easier to get support for bringing this blog in-house.  We’ll see!
