Thanks for the tip about paying for some parts of your operations - I hadn't seen that one mentioned before. I took the liberty of adding it to the tutorial to which you've linked (adding it to the past tutorials seems pointless as they shouldn't be used by new users) and adding a back-link to this blog post.

Thanks for mentioning Hippo Mocks too :-). It's always a thrill to see other people enjoying something you made.

Amin,
This post is part 3 in a 9-part series... I've just added better navigation at the top of this post. I was able to get to a better resolution, which I've documented later in the series. Hope this helps!

Hi there

I am now experiencing the same problem with Hibernate Search and the event listeners for doing indxexing when using Spring managed JTA. Have you managed to resolve your issue and get it working with Spring JTA?

Cheers

Ben,

I'll be watching to see where I might be able to make use of this stuff. Looks like it's a helpful refinement of TDD concepts.

Thanks for the pointers!

Jimmy,
I have this odd feeling you may be a spambot... but at this juncture I'm happy to accept compliments from spambots too (kind of like my church softball league when I was a teenager -- we lost so often that we didn't mind if our getting on base was only a result of the opposing team's error: "We'll take it!" :)

So, thanks for the compliment!

Hey Daniel,

I don't know if you've come across Behavior Driven Development (BDD) but I've been messing around with it a bit recently. It's similar in principle to TDD but it really takes it further. Anyway, here's a few links to check out:

- A great blog post that gives an overview of BDD: http://dannorth.net/introducing-bdd
- A wiki that contains anything you'd want to know about BDD. The defacto BDD home (IMHO):
 http://behaviour-driven.org/
- A C++ BDD Framework (since you seem to be doing C++ work): http://www.laughingpanda.org/projects/cppspec
(I don't know much about this but found the link to it on the BDD wiki mentioned above)

For the record this is due to JBoss isolation. I documented my findings here :

http://jeemusings.blogspot.com/2009/10/exposing-springs-defaultmessagelistener.html

but you could also look into working with the JBoss classLoader.

Thanks again
